Experience​

Jennifer L. Jonak is the founder and principal of Jonak Law Group, P.C. She has been practicing since 1997, and has extensive experience with commercial litigation and corporate law.  She has acted as outside general counsel for several companies, ranging from start-ups to international technology conglomerates.  She graduated from the University of Virginia School of Law and obtained her undergraduate degree with high honors from the University of Virginia.

May 2015

 

Ms. Jonak argued before the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals on behalf of a client facing a complete dismissal and summary judgment against him.  The appeal was against a multi-billion dollar European bank.  The Ninth Circuit reversed on all grounds in a unanimous decision, reinstating all of the client's claims under the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act (RICO) and California's Unfair Competition Law.  The bank subsequently settled.
